Planted
A seed was planted
in a young woman's heart.
A seed that grew
from the start.
With petals that stretched
up to the light
for in her heart,
there was no night.
A strong stem
to keep her down to earth.
Canyon-deep roots,
giving her worth.
Through raindrop tears,
her love grew stronger.
Toward better horizons
here and yonder.
