An unfinished poem
Did it mean nothing?
I ask death
while he sits
drinking coffee
visiting every so often
his presence is an energy drain
but to my detriment
I entertain him anyway
I used to hide
when he came around
(youth in its eternity
didn't care for the company)
but as age became my teacher
I realized all the missed
opportunities within reach
to ask death the questions
life never got around to
answering
